1/ Create a mood board
Collect images of what you like to take inspiration from. This way you can easily communicate your vision.

2/ Write a timeline
Write a detailed timeline for your event and include important information such a delivery times for all your items, contact details, exactly is what delivered and a summary of the order of events such as cake cutting, speeches etc. "This is so helpful as you have a nice detailed summary of the whole event in one spot", says Fiona.

3/ Create a budget spreadsheet
Create a basic budget spread sheet of all the quotations for the event and also record how much of a deposit you have given each supplier and record when final payment is due.
"I had a high tea baby shower with my family and friends. With large pink and gold confetti balloons and pink tulle-covered balloons decorating the guests tables, a large dessert table set up, where my cake was the focal point, surrounded by beautiful mini desserts and custom made cookies."

4/ Organise a professional photographer
Organise a professional photographer to capture this milestone event for you and your family - having a professional means you don’t miss out on those important detail shots and gorgeous family happy snaps. 5/ Hire an event planner
